Hey guys! We are looking for 1-2 new moderators. If you want to be a moderator please fill out the questions below.


1. Why do you want to be a mod?

2. How much time would you be able to give to the group? How active are you on Goodreads?

3. Have you moderated groups before? If yes, please name them.

4. What are you most experienced at/ most skilled at? (managing BOTMs, conducting challenges, creating new games, adding new discussions and keeping them active, managing polls, etc.)

5. What new ideas do you have for our group? (Please mention your ideas explicitly and not vaguely.)

6. What is something you would like to improve in our group if you become a mod?

7. What would your moderator title be? ( The mod titles are 'The {insert adjective} Reader')

Hi!! I’m applying to be a mod.

my answers to the questions:
1. I’d like to be a mod because I want to get to know more people and help out the book community more.
2. I’m usually very active on GoodReads, I’m able to be on for multiple hours every day.
3. Yes, I am currently a moderator for The Village Book Club.
4. I am not very good at polls. I’m currently managing the July BOTM (Renegades) for The Village Book Club. I’m good at that and creating games and managing buddy reads threads and that kind of stuff. I keep all of my group notifications on so I know what’s going on.
5. I would help acquire users, be very punctual, and I’m also very good at coming up with good ideas.
6. I have ideas for current games like “Travelling,” “Suspicious or Delicious,” etc. AND as for readathons, Buddy Reads, and reading challenges, of course those ideas would be useful when we needed them.
7. “The Indecisive Reader” (ofc, bc there’s so many books on my tbr HAHA)

I’m on everyday for at least a few hours so that much time :)

This is just some of them😅 I don’t have a full list.

Probably managing botms. I have experience in all but botms are my strength.

5. What new ideas do you have for our group? (Please mention your ideas explicitly and not vaguely.)
New book challenges and those challenges give you cool prizes like getting a sticker or whatever.

6. What is something you would like to improve in our group if you become a mod?
Make it more hyper? Idk if it’s the right word. Like take the group and turn the frenzy up a notch.

I want to be a mod because I think I can bring a lot to this already amazing group. I could help grow it and add more things!

I’d be able to give quite alot of my time to the group. I’ll be even more active on GR after the 13th as that’s when school ends.

Yes. The daylight readers and book buddies.

Umm i love organising BOTMs and I also love games so I’d be able to manage them.
5. What new ideas do you have for our group? (Please mention your ideas explicitly and not vaguely.)
We could maybe add a few more games (count up, count down, last letter first letter, never have I ever) and also book nooks! We need some crackhead energy from nookiessss.
6. What is something you would like to improve in our group if you become a mod?
Hard question because it’s already amazing! But I’d probably work on the games,
