Yeah we're starting on 12th July! Any idea how long the chapters are? Or we could just do in batches of fixed number of pages. Like eg; 50 pages a day.

50 pages a day sounds good.. so let's make it like if the nearest chapter to 50 pages ends like 45 pages.. we'll stop there.?

Yeah sounds good! Btw which edition are we reading? I saw a bunch of edited ones floating around online so I'm not sure which one is the correct one lol and all of them have different number of pages.

Can we start this on 19th? But guys this is like...we will have to read the book in this month itself as it counts for the team prompt and completing 4 prompts is necessary. So keep that in mind :)

i think we can do that, it's just 300 pgs, though granted it's a classic

Okay so I read the first 70 pages, SPOILERS if you haven't read yet. And these are my thoughts:

1. It's so difficult to understand what Joseph says half the time lol that English is weird!
2. Anyone else unsettled by how Catherine Linton married her cousin? Though I am aware it is done by several communities all over the world even now.
3. The descriptions are pretty good! I like the metaphors and words used to describe certain situations!

Also I think my version of book is a bit different, because the first 70 pages was only 4 chapters for me!
