We learn that thirteen years ago, Gus found herself pregnant with Roman’s baby but miscarried before telling him about it. Maddox took her to the hospital and cared for her. Should she have explained to him why she wanted to take the Washington D. C. position, both revealing the depth of her feelings and the pregnancy or did she make the right decision based on what he’d already told her?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I think she did the right thing. She tried to get a feel for his true feelings, but Roman pushed her away. She intended to have the baby anyway then she fell. I don't think she was in the right state of mind to go back and talk to Roman; he was very cruel to Gus.

I agree with Sharon on this one.

I also agree. She gave him an opening to want her for herself and he took a pass. If she’d carried to term, she would have told him he was the father. Gus made the right decision to move on.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I think she did the right thing too. The way he acted, I agree with the fact that she didn't tell him. She just planned to live her life without him.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Roman made it abundantly clear that he was not going to continue a relationship with her. It would have served no purpose to go back and tell him she was pregnant and lost the baby. Young Roman was an immature ass who couldn't handle a woman like Gus. Mad gets high marks for being her friend when she needed one the most.

I agree on both accounts.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments I agree with all comments. Roman made his position on continuing a relationship with Gus clear and once she lost the baby, there was not point in going back to tell him about it. He had hurt her and she wanted nothing to do with him.
