This section is dedicated to Sir Doyle's biography and other things about the creation of Sherlock Holmes. I'll start the discussion with two (four to be precise) great starters: a documentary playlist (YouTube) and a webpage by Stanford University. Feel free to share other resources, and chat about any odd findings.

YouTube playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLq...

Discovering [Arthur Conan Doyle] Sherlock Holmes: http://dickens.stanford.edu/sherlockh...

Enjoy!

Ah, thank you! Exactly what we needed. Just visited the site: I had no idea ACD did illustrations (not bad at all)!

Barbara A slight correction. It should be "Sir Arthur" rather than Sir Doyle, since he was a knight.
There is this pretty cool site that explains how to address and refer to nobility, including wives, first sons, second sons, daughters -

Well I would have never guessed this. Thank you for sharing, Barbara! I'll look into the matter of nobilities. Quite compelling.
