HELP! This book or a similar one?

For the past few days I've been thinking of a book I read where (I think) a woman's daughter was kidnapped and had been missing. She somehow ended up in the house of the kidnapper and went into a 'secret' room where she found the girl's body bundled/wrapped up on the bed. I'm pretty sure she laid down next to the body or something and the kidnapper/murderer showed some remorse. I can't remember if it was this book, as the synopsis doesn't ring any bells. This has been bugging me for a while now...

I read this years ago, and I think it's the one you are remembering. 10 years later after her daughter was missing she started dating someone whose daughter looked the spit of her missing daughter. I think it turns out to be her Granddaughter as her missing child was made pregnant in that bungalow but can't quite remember! Hope that's helpful?
