This is getting real serious! I get a kind of Hunger Games feeling out of this! The real creepy thing about this (and other dystopian novels) is that I believe it could really happen! People getting murdered for money.

I agree with you Carla. It's getting good and I am feeling like this could really happen too...the stacks, poverty, crime, lack of (or inexistence of) education. I'm bummed "The High Five" didn't form an alliance, I was so hoping they would, and kick some serious Sixer behind lol.

I'm at the part where Wade is being offered all the things from Ioi in the chat. I hope he doesn't cave.

The High Five forming an alliance against the corporate fascists would be awesome. But I get why it didn't happen though.

I just finished reading level one. This novel is sooooooo amazing! Unfortunately, I have to stop reading, because I need to go to work. ^ ^

As other said I believe that this could really happen. Maybe not in the nearest future but it could happen. I really thought that at least Aech, Parzival and Art3mis would have formed an alliance...we'll see how it goes!

I totally agree this seems like it could happen. Has anyone seen that episode of community where they have to beat a video game to win pierces dads inheritance? I can't stop thinking about that while I'm reading haha!

I agree with everything you've all said so far!! I'm thinking maybe instead of the High Five joining up, the three will. Wade may get the second by himself.. But I bet him, Aech, and Art3mis team up for the final one. Just a guess.

Ya the whole thing with IOI definitely made things even MOVE interesting. This has literally become life or death for Wade.
I'm kind of excited for him to be leaving the stacks behind and getting his own apartment. I don't understand how he's planning on staying indoors in a place with no furniture (and I'm guessing no food?) until the quest is over. I mean, if he passes out, he's not going to win either. He needs to take care of himself I feel like..
