Hey guys! I've just messed up my first interview of life for a job that I really loved. Help!😂😥

uh oh what happened

You know, nothing went as I expected. I spent hours researching about interview questions & vocabulary and none of them were useful

thats not good, what was the job?

The worst thing was that it was done with Skype and they could easily see me, BUT I couldn't see them and it was just a voice. Moreover, her voice was so computer-ish. I felt like I was being interviewed by Siri or Cortana😐

that sucks

Plus, when she asked about my experiences, I went totally blank and blurted out some nonsense without really talking about my experiences at all.

And through the whole thing I had lots of gaps and stumbles.

Long story short, everything that could go wrong, went wrong and I myself would be really amused if they chose me with that interview 😂 unless it was because of lack of candidates. in that case it would be a little more sensible. Otherwise, No😂

It was an English Teaching job in one of the best institutes of my country

oh no! you must be really sad! But to be fair, they should have waited to do it in person to get a feel if you were right or not.

Exactly! I had no idea if I had answered rightly or not. Only after every answer she just said Wonderful! and I had no idea if she was praising me or mocking me😂

but there's no worry I'm gonna try some other institutes and gather more experience & knowledge. At least until a human can talk to me😂

Then again, the discussion doesn't have end here. I invite everyone else to tell us about their interviews or any other experience that they like.

Ok, I have good news & better news😂
The good news is that I found a job as a librarian in one of the biggest bookstores in the city.
The better news is that I don't need it since the institute passed my interview and I'm gonna start as an intern as soon as they call me up (guess they are really desperate or maybe I didnt mess up as much as I thought I had😂)

Hello everyone!
First of all, I'm really sorry I've been passive these few days. I was busy with University entrance exams and interviews. Then again, I have GREAT news that I think can make up for it. I aced all of my exams and interviews! and I'm probably going to get accepted by my top universities that I've applied for. I'll keep u updated on the final results. Just know that I'm HAPPY!

Yeah actually I'm focused on American literature a little for now and am reading a series of short stories by Ernest Hemingway named "The Nick Adams Stories".

Do you know him? And how about you?

As for me, I’m reading this novel called ‘a tale for the time being’
It’s a dual POV novel.
First pov is a suicidal Japanese girl who is suffering from a LOT but wants to document the life of her feminist anarchist great-grandmother who is a nun before she…you know.
We read her diary entries btw.

The second POV is about a novelist who finds this diary.

It’s an interesting novel for now…

His writing style is also very vague. like after 100 pages nothing has really happened and Nick has just grown up 😂 but I'm enjoying it so far

I LOVE multiple povs a lot idk why, but sometimes they disappoint. And these kinda dual povs are really interesting. I remember that "Fort Rules of Love" by "Elif Shafak" had the same frame. I hope you enjoy it

I love multiple povs too.
It just gives us like different perspectives. I love that.
Though some of them aren’t good and just makes the story confusing.

So I survived the fall semester and now I'm dealing with winter semester as a freshman. It's getting better I'm getting the hang of it. I just wish that all of this covid situation would go away ASAP and everything goes back to normal
