August 2021: The Ultimate Disney Reading Challenge
Challenge Runtime: August 1st - August 31st
Type: Individual


Let’s take a reminiscent tour down the memory lane and relive the magic Disney created for us with its beautiful stories. Choose a Disney character you’d like to play and choose a Disney villain you’d like to beat and complete the Disney story by fulfilling the prompts with books. The prompts are divided into Easy, Intermediate, and Hard. You can repeat the prompts if you want but no more than 3 books will be counted per prompt.

Once you complete all the prompts of one character and villain of your choice, you can move on to play another character and beat another villain. The villain you choose does not necessarily have to be relevant to the character you choose. It’s all main characters against all villains!

Bonus characters will be introduced every week with a set of prompts specific to that character. You can choose any 1 prompt for this character and fulfill it to get extra points. Cinderella

Easy:
1. Read a book with a hardworking MC
2. Read a book with a character who is kind to animals or loves animals
3. Read a book with a single word title
4. Read a book with a sandal on the cover
Intermediate:
1. Read a book where the MC is trying to find something/someone
2. Read a book that includes dancing/ dance ball
Hard:
1. Time limit - Read a 300+ pages book before 12 am (that is within 24 hours)

Your Chosen Villain:

Jafar (Aladdin)

Easy:
1. Read a book where the MC can use magic
2. Read a book with mental health representation
3. Read a book with diverse characters
4. Read a book with a snake on the cover
Intermediate:
1. Read a book where a character is a smooth talker or is charming
2. Read a book with unrequited love
Hard:
1. Read a book where a character wants to topple the system

Scoring:
Prompt Scoring:
For Easy prompts, 2 points per prompt
For Intermediate, 3 points per prompt
For Hard prompt, 5 points per prompt

Bonus Character Points:
Read in 1st week - 10 points
Read in 2nd week - 5 points
Read after the 2nd week - 2 points

Page Count Scoring: For every book above 300 pages-
301-400: 2 points
401-500: 3 points
501-600: 4 points
601-700: 5 points
701 and above: 7 points

Hey, will a book of pages 250 count for the bonus character prompt? Also, in a hard working mc, as most mcs are hardworking, will it be like that? Or hardworking in the sense of Cinderella's hardwork?

Any book that is 150 pages or above fits all the prompts unless the prompt itself states otherwise. So, yes. 250 page count book will work for Bonus Character prompts.

To answer your second question, it's upto your interpretation. So if you read a book and you feel that the mc is very hardworking towards their goals, work, chores, or anything - that book fits the prompt.
