The pursuit of The Survivor culminates at the grave where Nikki is being buried. Your thoughts about that scene?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) She was always going to caught and buried and Reed was going to save her.. I saw that coming a mile off. But to be buried on top of her Dad.. that was awful!

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments This was not surprising. I expected it for the whole book, but I like how Nikki stayed calm and was able to help herself.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Yes, me too. I think she did show some personal growth by the end of the story which will only get stronger as the series progresses. Reed is probably a positive influence on her.

Absolutely! I don't think she was the same kind of naive and selfish person at the end as in the beginning. She matured.

I liked that Nikki kept her cool in the most awful of circumstances. She knew she wouldn’t survive if she didn’t use her wits and refusing to beg for her life and curse the killer was part of that means to survival. Nikki wasn’t giving him any of the satisfaction he was looking for. Recalling that ankle holstered gun was a result of her calming down and thinking. Loved it that she helped save herself.

Finding herself on the other end of the story helped Nikki become a better journalist, at least more measured and mature.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with all of you. Nikki did keep her cool, and helped save herself. The end made her somewhat acceptable to me. I hope that will improve in the future.
