D.W. Hitz (dwhitz) | 61 comments Hello all,

We publish speculative fiction that, for our adult content, is more often than not on the darker side of the spectrum.

I'd like to share the upcoming titles that have been announced so far on our website: https://fedowarpress.com/

Coming in August:
Title: Bounties, Beasts, and Badlands: Fantastic Tales of the Weird West
Genre: Weird West Speculative Fiction
Available: 8/24/2021
Goodreads: Bounties, Beasts, and Badlands
Bounties, Beasts, and Badlands by D.W. Hitz

Description:
The western landscape holds awesome and spectacular secrets. Between prairies and mountains, deserts and canyons, strange things happen. These are five tales of the fantastic, from the old west to the dystopian future, that share a glimpse of what might be if land told all.

Featuring:
The Hattersfield Dilemma by B.K. Bass
When Samuel Shepherd and his crew hole up in the town of Hattersfield for the night, they don’t expect to find a town plagued with a mystery. And when they start picking that mystery apart, they find more lurking in the darkness than monsters.

Creeper’s Wreath by D.W. Hitz
When Malcolm escaped, he was running for his life. When he returns as a necromancer, it’s to rescue his love and settle an old debt.

Sheriff of the Dead by Jodi Jensen
A desert town full of zombies, a Marshall bent on their destruction, and the Sheriff of the Dead, determined to fight for their right to exist. Only a few will find sanctuary in Demise.

Freedom’s Bounty by Crystal L. Kirkham
Monster Bountyhunter, Ella Fitzgerald has tracked her latest target to a booming mining town in the wilds of the British Columbia mountains. When the trail goes cold, an odd stranger offers to help, and what they discover is more than either of them expected.

Red by Eric Lahti
Between the poison dust and the killer angels, Earth’s days look numbered. There’s just one person who might have a solution. They call her a witch, but in these dark days any chance for salvation is worth the risk.

Coming in September:
Title: Gods are Born by D.W. Hitz
Genre: Dystopian Sci-fi Action with horror elements
Available: 9/21/2021
Description:
This is not the world you know.

When aliens crashed on Earth, everything changed. Humanity has been decimated by predators and plague. Electromagnetic waves render most technology useless. The survivors are afflicted by strange mutations—some troubling, others amazing.

Kaysa simply desires to live her life. When forced to use her powers, someone always gets hurt.

Tony loves being a hitman. The pay is good, and with his abilities, most jobs are a cakewalk.

The bloodthirsty King of the Republic is unsatisfied. A power greater than his own beckons to him from the beyond.

And to realize his destiny, he must bring the others to it.

Gods are Born follows the paths of seven extraordinary beings as they struggle to survive, to find peace within themselves, and ultimately to defeat the King…

…and something far worse than they can imagine.

Title: Dear Creator by Asta Geil
Genre: Contemporary Fantasy/Horror

The apocalypse has come, and the Dear Creator is behind it. But what can humans really do in the face of godly injustice?

When Vallesia Jade opens a shed, she is horrified to learn that she has just onset an apocalypse orchestrated by the Dear Creator she has spent her entire life worshipping.

The Creator is supposed to have disappeared 22 years ago. His son, the demi-god Birdman, used to hide in a janitor’s closet and tell Vallesia and her rebellious sister, Dahlia, stories of how the Creator brought joy to the world with the snap of his fingers. But now, as murderous lightning follows acid rain, a plague is killing off and reviving loved ones, and the shadows grow fangs, the sisters stand with opposing views.

Dahlia is after justice. She is an apocalypse prepper and her plan is to storm the Creator’s palace, demand answers and, if possible, punch him in the face. Vallesia is slowly unraveling what has made the Creator angry enough to turn on his creation. But the question remains: What can we do in the face of godly injustice? Can we do anything at all?

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks! I tried setting up an account with Ingram, but the paperwork's enough to give you a migraine, so I've been ordering directly from publishers. I discovered I like ordering direct from publishers, anyway.

Now up for Preorder, Uncanny Valley Days by C.J. Sampera has a cover and a release date.

Rocked by grief and recurring apparitions of her dead brother, Olivia is losing her grip on reality and may have inadvertently invoked a cybernetic, serial-killing slasher demon. Or is it all in her head?

Olivia Peramo is a writer and an artist at heart, barista by trade who struggles with multiple mental health issues. All of which have only been intensified by the recent loss of both her parents and her older brother Alejandro. And to top it off, she may have just inadvertently invoked an evil entity with one passive-aggressive rage tweet.

Soon enough, the people that cross Olivia start winding up dead, and she’s being made to watch each grisly murder as they unfold. Is she part of some elaborate hoax? Is this sinister force really breaking her reality and murdering innocent people? Or has Olivia completely lost it and started killing them herself? Not to mention, the ghost of her dead brother keeps popping up every time she smokes a little weed.

Bloodtooth

Fedowar is proud to announce a gruesome new novel from D.W. Hitz. Bloodtooth, a story of nightmares and murder, will be released on 1/17/23. Preorder the ebook now: https://geni.us/bloodtooth

Available: 1/17/2023
Description:

In the small town of Custer Falls, horror and terrifying nightmares begin in 1992. It’ll be thirty years before they end.

When Wes Henson strays off the path during a field trip to Bloodtooth Caverns, he gets injured and discovers an ancient relic. It doesn’t take long for what’s inside the artifact to take root in the town’s more suggestable inhabitants and nudge them toward murder. Even in sleep, they aren’t safe as it reaches into their nightmares, where wounds can follow dreamers into the waking world.

If Wes and his friends want to survive, they’ll have to put the thing back. Only it doesn’t want to go, and it’ll use anyone at its disposal to stop them, awake or asleep.

Description:
After nightmares begin in the small town of Custer Falls, Montana, in 1992, it’ll be thirty years before they end.

Just outside of Custer Falls, something is sleeping. Life in the small town was never ideal, but it was safe, quiet, and predictable. After Wes Henson and his friends’ field trip to Bloodtooth Caverns, all of that changes.

All they did was stray off the path. They didn’t expect to break their bones and discover an ancient relic. But once it’s in Wes’s hands, he’s the one that has to put it back.

Until he does, the town’s nightmares are no longer harmless. The good side of your conscience may go quiet as the devil on your shoulder speaks up. Children fall into comas, while adults are torn to pieces in their sleep.

If Wes and his friends want to survive, they’ll have to conquer the waking world and the dreamscape.

Because when this evil is awake, no one’s dreams are safe.

Larval Seeds is EXTREME HORROR. You should not read this. You've been warned.

Praise for Larval Seeds:
“As a former nurse and seasoned splatterpunk writer, I like to think I can handle any amount of grotesquerie. Yet, Larval Seeds managed to turn my gut like hot, rotten milk.
