Michelle H | 2 comments I read this book in the early 80s - I think. The book's main character was a young woman, I THINK her name was Blithe??? I thought that was part of the title, but when I search, I only get "Blithe Spirit" returns.

The story took place in a European country - Italy? France? And the young woman was trying to learn sculpture. She would make little sketches of horses she saw when she went out. It seems there was an older man/mentor/love interest?

Please help! I am driving myself nuts trying to remember this book! thank you in advance.

Was this more of a romance or something else?
Part of a series?
Anything about the cover?
Time period story takes place?

Brittany | 312 comments A House Called Bellevigne by Jacqueline Gilbert, maybe? I don’t remember the woman’s name, but she was a sculptor traveling in France and meets an older man. It was also written in the 80’s.
