Applications will be held from August 18th, 2021, through August 25th. We're looking for 1-2 new moderators, as we've had to say goodbye to a few of our own.

1. Why do you want to be mod?
I want to be a mod in this amazing group because I feel as if it has died a little over the past few months, and I want to wave my magic wand and bring it back from the dead. I think the premise of this group is absolutely amazing and it combines my two passions- activism and reading- brilliantly. I also love the community here in the group, the mods are so friendly and all of the members are too. Also, I think you mods dealt with the whole troll saga amazingly, and I would love to join you in getting rid of the future trolls (hopefully we don’t have any more!) I also want to develop my leadership skills and I feel like getting this position is a great way to do that.
2. What do you have to contribute to the group?
I could contribute loads of time (I’m on GR about 35 hrs per week atm) and ideas which I think are quite good. I could also be in charge of sending out weekly announcements and welcoming new members.
3. At the moment, look up your total number of comments in the group. How many?
279 so far!
4. How active are you on Goodreads?
Very very active. So active it’s unbelievable. I really need to be less active but I don’t think that’ll be happening anytime soon!
5. How long have you been in the group?
About 2 months I think. I’ve been a member since June 6th apparently!

-I could also do weekly announcements some weeks if that’s something you want to start.

Definitely a private Goodreads group, if it’s like google chat, like classroom, that’s fine. But if it’s like google meet, no unfortunately. My parents would absolutely freak if they knew.

Yep, I’m a mod in Daylight Readers (which I created) https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... and I’m also a mod in Book Buddies which is very ded but I’m planning to revive it.
11. Do you believe in standing against discrimination of any kind?
Of course! Discrimination is absolutely horrible and makes me sick thinking of it. People that belong to minority groups should be judged any differently that anyone else.
12. Lastly, what do you value in this group?
I value having a place to speak my own opinion and debate about controversial topics in a fun and safe environment. Everyone is honestly so lovely.

Good luck to other applicants and I can’t wait to see who gets picked! I’ll be staying in a caravan with no internet on Wednesday but I will check first thing when I get home Thursday to see which lucky person got the position.

I would like to be mod of this group, as this group has a lot to offer. I always wanted to do something for the people and I see this as an opportunity to become a sort of activist.

I can make some fin challenges, help in buddy read or daily polls maybe! Whatever you want me to do.

I am approximately 4 to 5 hours active per day.

No, I am not moderator in any group!

I have personally experienced discrimination, which really sucks! I am TOTALLY AGAINST DISCRIMINATION.

I love to discuss topics which people just never talk, It is such an honour to be a part of such a revolution.

I want to be a mod in this group cause I really like this group! Even though I don’t seem to be active much in the group right now! I also want this group to grow! :)

A lot!, I’m in at least a few hours a day!, it might change a bit after school starts!, but I’ll still be pretty active! :)

1 Why do you want to be a mod?

I genuinely want to be a mod because I just love interacting with other readers and people :) And the Idea of an Activists Group is just so creative and out of the box, that I would just love to see the group thrive and grow!! And I love to stand up for what is right and this group is just a perfect opportunity because it is so positive and empowering. I feel like this group is so good at standing up for what you are passionate about, which I would love to be a part of. Lastly, this group is just pure amazement, and watching it grow and thrive has been amazing to watch, and once again I would be thrilled and honored to watch it grow even more.

2. What do you have to contribute to the group?

I will be able to contribute
- Lots of time and activeness(Goodreads is my life and School and Reading OFC!!)
- Discussions that will increase more inclusion and maybe more activeness with the members
-BOTMs
- TOTM( which means talk of the month and it means talking about very important world issues that we should focus on and help increase awareness too.)

I am active *woww* This question is very very easy to answer lol. Im on EVERYDAY, I MEAN EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I can be active like every day and I think if you need me for extra work. I WILL BE THERE :D

I have been here since March!! WOW! But I started getting active around this summer.

I would be more likely to join a private Goodreads group, but for the Gmail, I'd probably have to inform my parents.

Absolutely! I will never tolerate any time of discrimination of any sort. I think everyone is equally amazing and has something AWESOME to offer.

I value everything about this group, from the discussions to the activism, and to the amazing community of people who have a voice to speak up. And I am just honored to be a part of this amazing group.
