Nancy (paper_addict) It’s time to think about October book club!

No self nominations.

Here is a link to books already read by the group:

Cheryl (cherylllr) Another classic that we should have under our belt is Timescape by Gregory Benford. I have no idea how good it is, but it did win the Nebula in 1980.

Irinel Finco (myhoney) | 20 comments If A shortcut in time doesn't get nominated in september, I nominate it again for october. I absolutely love this book.

Adam | 1 comments The psychology of time travel by Kate Mascarenhas. It was somehow more than I thought it would be.

I suggest Time's Eye by Arthur C. Clarke.

Nancy (paper_addict) Sorry! I thought I created this poll last week. I am still in an unpacking frenzy.

Lizz Taylor | 218 comments Whoever recommended Time and Time again by Ben Elton - thank you! I finally read it and enjoyed it. I love reading the nominations that are given even if they aren't chosen for the month. I appreciate everyone taking the time to share these books I might have missed otherwise. I wasn't sure where to post my gratitude.

I enjoyed Elton's book, as well. His best book that I've read, while not a time-travel novel, is Two Brothers. I've read it twice. It is so moving it brought me to tears. And it is based on Elton's family story in Germany.

Lizz Taylor | 218 comments Thanks Steven! I do like a good historical fiction book so I added it to my ever increasing Want to Read list.

Nancy (paper_addict) Only three people voted so I made an executive decision. The three books that were voted on are now the October, November and December books.

Discussions threads can be found here:

October: The Psychology of Time Travel

November: A Shortcut In Time

December: Time’s Eye

At the beginning of November, I will post a new nominations thread for January.
