Was there ever a moment you wished you could be right there with Ellery?

Body at Buccaneer’s Bay has just been released! Please feel free to discuss the book as soon as you like here in this thread!

Marge (margec01) | 599 comments I am really enjoying this one. It's just refreshing to see characters again that I really like, and who are trying to do their best to understand one another.

I have to laugh at the antics of Watson, though if he were a real dog of mine or my friends, I'm afraid I'd be rather annoyed with him. But as a fictional dog, he's very cute. LOL

I just started it last night. For reasons, this was ironic and perfect release timing. I am in severe need of a comfort read, and the fact that it’s a Josh book is a huge bonus. Anyway, in my exhausted state, I got the first chapter read. Suitably creepy and really good. I’m super excited for the rest.

About 30% in and loving it! The humor is spot on. I’ve been reading lines out loud to my Dad and he’s been laughing over them too.

I'm so glad. The point of these books is to be comforting. Comforting to me and comforting to readers. So it's validating to read comments like yours, Jordan, and Marge's.

The real life ARF! ARF! ARF! does get old. ;-)

The fact that this is making me laugh right now is amazing.

WMD | 251 comments I like several new threads at the start of a book in a series. The sense that Ellery and Jack have been comfortable for awhile, settling together. The "meet the parents" and the scubadiving....good mix of threads....and then The Body.

Squeeeeeeeee!!! There’s going to be a famous author signing in December! I hope we get to see that in a later book!

Awwwww. I’m so sad this is over. Loved the ending with the key, and Talia’s whispered words. I also appreciate the unanswered questions that will carry through to later books.

I'm trying to think how to work in what I think would be a very funny development. ;-D

Averin | 113 comments Judging by the snippy comments here on GR, I assume this isn’t out yet. But why does Amazon keep telling it came out a week ago only to send me to the dogs?🤣

I truly don't know what's up with Amazon. The book was cancelled nearly a month before it was due out, but it continued to show up in promotions, and the official note that it had been canceled didn't go out until it was practically due to have launched.

I'm aiming to have it out in mid-to-late July.

**MAKE THAT MID-TO-LATE AUGUST.

Oh Amazon....

message 21: by Averin (new)

Averin | 113 comments Once again, Amazon is confusing me, this time urging me to buy Death at the Deep, to be released on the 14th.

Death at the Deep Dive should be coming out on the 14th. Lament at Loon Landing will probably not come out until sometime in September. (I know that seems odd, but Book 6 is coming out before 7 won't make a huge difference to the series as a whole.)

Thank you, also for the excerpt.

It was a good choice for you. Still, I'm reading «Lament for Loon Landin» first ;-).
