the renegades trilogy is on my tbr!! i really enjoyed the lunar chronicles so i'm excited to read something else by marissa meyer

Heyo!! I'm a little bit more than 100 pages in and it is a little boring now but I'm sure there is more to come!!

My thoughts:
(view spoiler)[ So I'm already so in love with Jest. He is so mysterious and alluring and yet there is so much more to be revealed about him! Chesire Cat has already made me laugh out loud a few times since he is just a great and entertaining character in any Alice in Wonderland retelling, movie, etc. I really like Cath so far. She loves to bake and I do too (though not as fancy as she does haha), so that gives me a way to relate to her.



I feel like the author took a TON of inspiration from the original Lewis Caroll book, of course, but also from the old animated Disney movie. I've seen the movie a million times and I've noticed a lot of similarities between it and the book. I can't think of as many similarities between the original AiW and this book, but I read the original a long time ago so don't listen to me :D

I'm still working on it but it is super boring as of yet. I'm putting it off for now since I'm trying to dtay out of a reading slump but hopefully I'll get to it again soon
