Nope.

From the rules: Step 2 - Each player will decide which one of their two cards they will keep.

Emma | 169 comments Thanks Lanelle.
Can we use a book we started earlier today before the cards were drawn?

Yes.

Emma | 169 comments Can we use books that are already started - for example if I have nearly finished a book that I can make fit a number, can I use it?

Yes. Both players need to finish their books before requesting new cards.

The winner has the highest score without going over 21.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 2318 comments So guess we are playing with multiple decks of cards as I have now been dealt two 10♣ TEN of Clubs's in the same Game. 😒😉🙃

I'm using random.org to get your cards.

Every time I click on the button, the cards come from a new deck. I made sure to mention that in the instructions: (Note that each time cards are drawn, it will be from new deck.)

It's actually possible that two players can be dealt the same card.

Ah! I missed that line in the info.
I was more teasing you, because I found it entertaining. With the same card coming up two draws in a row.
Thanks for a fun game.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 2318 comments Oh! Good question Sandy

Sandy wrote: "After Round 2, I have 13 points. Both of the cards dealt to me for Round 3 will put me over 21. Do we have to continue the round by reading tasks for our cards (in which case LaurLa will definitely win) OR may I concede the game to LaurLa without either of us reading for this round?"

You concede.

A number (1, 2, 3, 4) or its spot in a sequence (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th).

Examples of acceptable titles:
One Fell Sweep
Once Upon a Curse
The Two Towers
Twice in a Lifetime
Three Bedrooms, One Corpse
The Third Daughter
The Four Winds
The Fourth Mandate
and so on...

Yes.

By the way, I'll be reading that book soon in my In-Real-Life book club. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

LaurLa | 3900 comments LaurLa and Sandy: Hit Me One More Time! - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Another read or concede question. For our current game, I stood on 18. The card that Sandy drew will make her the winner. Do I concede or does she actually need to read the book? It's different than our last question because it was a case of her busting but this time I'm thinking she doesn't really 'win' until reads the book for the points, correct?

Yes, Sandy needs to read the book in order to win the game.
