I'll hustle with my own list for an example, Kirk. But, to give you some quick help. There are no wrong answers for pairing the words with book titles. Whatever title leaps to mind when you see the word, feel free to go with it. Or, if you want to work out stronger correlations, feel free to give it a longer think for your matches.

Sounds like you got a perfect match up for one word already, Katja. :)

No rush! And, it doesn't have to make sense. If the word makes you think of an Austenesque title then go with that one.

#5- Unpublished -

# 9 - letters,

#6 - Minor character -

#2 - dance

#4 retelling -

#1 - Jane -

1. Jane -Camp Jane, by Susan Andrews -self explanatory
2. Dance- First impressions by Alexa Adams -says the place it diverges from canon is that D&E danced at the assembly
3. Regency- Blinded by prejudice, by Karalynne Mackrory, or So Material A Change, by Amy D'Orazio. -Mostly just because I want to read them, and it looks like they're set in the Regency.
4. Retelling- Directed by Darcy by Lesley T Franklin -because they're making a movie called First impressions, and I'm hopeful either the book or the movie or both could be a retelling
5. Unpublished tale -I already tagged Mary Smythe's A Faithful Narrative for this, because it's as yet unpublished JAFF, and involves a character's unpublished writings
6. Minor Character -Lucases of Lucas Lodge, by Clara Benson, or Sketches and Secrets of Summer, by Leenie Brown (it looks to be about Mary)
7. Autumn- Un'interminabile pioggia by Abigail Reynolds. -Not actually sure this has anything to do with autumn but the title promises endless rain so it probably fits the general mood. It might be the same as A succession of rain? IDK.
8. Spooky - Pride and paranormal by Adrienne Blake. I am hopeful something will be spooky here.
9. Letter - Letter from Ramsgate, by Suzan Lauder, or Dearly Beloved by Lewis Whelchel -because someone is writing a letter on the cover
10. Carriage -Darcy's longest day, by MA Sandiford. -Because the blurb says it describes a day Darcy spent travelling so I am assuming a carriage is involved, and because I am a scientist I confirmed with a quick Kindle search that the word carriage gets mentioned 73 times in the book.
More choices for the Retelling header
Balter by Priors Newton
Ember by Wiley Jae

We are closing our physical office at work. All the Corona closures showed that we can be just as productive at home, so why spend the overhead. As a Non-profit it is a big savings!
So this month means packing up and getting ready to disperse everything.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sure! Feel free to snitch from other lists, Sam. More the merrier.
And, whew, good luck with the dispersement for your office.

Ah, too bad it was only so-so. I'd not heard of that one so I was curious to see how you'd like it. At least it is done and off the shelf.

Yes, thanks!!!!!!!!
I chose Emma Watson from my list and found it an interesting choice of direction for some of the characters and plot started in Austen's fragment, but it an entertaining completion.

My october read was a great book. Vulnerable Elizabeth, sweet but stupid Darcy and a very beautiful story. If you haven't read this yet, please do. Enjoyment guaranteed.

First, you will do a word association game with the below list of words/phrases by starting a new comment with the word on the left and your book picks on the right. Your book title picks are whatever book came to mind when you saw the word.
BUT... here's the trick: your book title picks must be Austenesque books that you still have to read.
Now, they don't have to actually be books on your shelf though, of course, those would be a good choice. Library or borrowed books you have on your wish list can count just so long as you can get them in time.
You need to make your book list by October 1st and leave it in the comments
WORD LIST:
1. Jane
2. Dance
3. Regency
4. Retelling
5. Unpublished tale
6. Minor Character
7. Autumn
8. Spooky
9. Letter
10. Carriage
Now, choose a book from your word association book list and start reading after October 1st.
