What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Fantasy possibly YA read around 2010 about a young girl with a painting (or photo print) of a foggy forest that she sees come to life. She stares at the foggy forest and can see flames
Of a fire flickering and figures moving around. I remember there is a character that isn’t much older than her but she calls him Uncle Tom and he tells her not to because of the book. I believe there’s some romance between the two at one point and that he has a car and/or
Rides a bike? There’s a house with an old Woman. And there’s an evil old man. I remember the twist at the end was strange like all Of a sudden she doesn’t remember anything about what just happened in the rest of the book and she’s dating and/or about to marry the evil man’s son/nephew. Then she breaks out of this trance. The title was simple like “Fog and fire”, “fog and lavender”, etc and the title of the book was the title of the painting in the book.
