Please keep all discussion to the events and speculation from Chapter 39 - Chapter 47.

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

Well since you all obviously skipped this section in a race to the end, I'll comment as I go.

Nila breaking through the Magebreaker was expected, but still awesome. So far it looks like both Bo and Olem might just make it, but I haven't gotten to the aftermath yet.

The end of the Kez war is a bit of a disappointment. I'm curious to see the aftermath though.

Hmm and now a building came down on Vlora. Seems like I'm waiting on all kinds of aftermath now. No wonder none of you stopped to comment. :-P

So Mihali seems to have reincarnated into Charlemund's body? Adamat thought he fled, but I guess he died? More aftermath (sort of).

Man he is making this hard to put down.

Have to agree with that. Thinking I am going to be reading it till I finished.

Bill, nice call on Lord Claremonte being Brude.

So Ka-pol used Charlemund’s life to bring Taniel out of his coma. I can't remember us learning that last book, but I have a bad memory. It seems that Adom decided to use that instead of an infant. I guess so he can still play some kind of role in things to come.

And Lady Cheris is Brude’s other half. It's looking to be an interesting finale.

Thanks. Peter had much better reasoning in the next section.

Agreed on the end of the Kez war. It felt like after two and a half books of focusing on it he just decided it had served its purpose and wrapped it up quick so he could switch the focus to Brude.

I missed it too....I couldn't remember what happened in between the battle with Kresimir in the last book and how Ka-Poel had his effigy in the box and how his body got where it was.

Suzanne | 1582 comments I couldn't remember either - so I'm glad they re-capped in this book. I thought the big battle scene was well done. It was nice how we saw the first battle through Nila's and Adamats eyes - so just pieces of the whole. We saw a little more of this one, with the assault on the wall/city. But as you guys mentioned above, it was abrupt at the end. I'll withhold judgement about that for now, because I want to see where this is going.
