Here is our thread for Wait for It. There are 26 chapters + an epilogue.

I was thinking of starting it today, but when did you have in mind Johanna and Mariem?

Great! I'll start reading today as well :D

For me it is a reread. I loved it and feel like reading a book that I know I'll enjoy a lot.

Chapter 1
(view spoiler)[It would scare me too if I woke up and someone was staring at me. Even if it was someone who lived with me.
I thought this was cute: "the bogeyman should be afraid of them, not them of it".
I wouldn't have gone outside to help the guy who was being surrounded by the other 3 guys. What could i have done? I'd have called the police instead. I don't think she was really thinking it through. The guy she helped wasn't really grateful. But since he is her neighbour (handsome neighbour), she will probably see him more often. Although she is probably more interested in the other guy (the one who was already inside the house). It's been a couple of years ago that I read it so I can't remember.
Buttercup is a cute and funny nickname. I think it was from the The Princess Bride, but we will probably here more about why they picked the nickname later (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3-5
(view spoiler)[I like how she interacts with her nephews. It must have been tough to take them in after her brother died. Sounds like Josh's mom is still alive. Odd he didn't move in with her. Maybe they didn't want to seperate the boys or maybe she has got another reason why she didn't want to raise her own son? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5

I'm enjoying the book. There are many funny moments in it that make me laugh. (view spoiler)[Diana acts a bit weird around Dallas though. Why do you think that is? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Oh, okay! I hate how everyone who makes a re-appearance 1) Is still with someone she ended up together in the earlier book 2) Is getting a baby. I just hate this how she gives so unrealistic picture about realitionships to readers. I would love to read how someone is complaining about her spouse, even about tiny things. But noooo, everything is rainbows and unicorns, always. And not everyone wants (and someone even can't) have babies. But I might check that book! (hide spoiler)]

Johanna, I like the re-appearances of other characters from other books (even if I don't remember them lol). But (view spoiler)[you are right that they are always so happy. I don't mind. It's a romance book, so that's to be expected especially if they are just getting a short mention. It would be horrible if one of them would get a divorce lol
I think The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is this author's best book. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11
(view spoiler)[This is quite slow, being romance book there is so much everything else. One things that made me annoyed was when she had that fight with that other mother. It was just so immature but I have been so happy that there hasn't been more similar scenes this far. And I'm so happy for my own mother and that she is nothing like our MC's mother. I couldn't live with someone like her, all the time saying how she should do things and giving her opinions. I love how she takes care of her nephews. I have started to be annoyed every time she tells to Dallas that she's not trying to flirt. I thought they already discussed about it so why should she all the time tell the same thing xD (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Something has definitely happened in their past but I just can't figure out what. And hey! I just understood that our MC is a cousin of MC in Kulti. I thought the last name was familiar but then there were told how her cousins play professional soccer. (hide spoiler)]

The first time I read it I gave it 4 stars, but I have the feeling I'll end up giving it 3 stars this time. Though maybe it will get better. I think it will. I really can't remember much about this book. I looked it up and saw that I read it 3 years ago. Not strange then that I can't remember much.

Joahanna, Mariana Zapata is know for slowburn romances so it doesn't surprise me that it is slow. I like it that way.

(view spoiler)[I was a bit annoyed by Diana's behaviour too. Though it seems to be an inside joke now to comment about not flirting, groping or wathever. It starts to get less annoying actually, now that they are more like friends.

You are probably right about Kulti being her cousin, but again I can barely remember the book (hide spoiler)]

i've read up to chapter 5 last night, i like it so far, i've only read Kulti from her books before and i know all her books are slow burn, i just hope this won't be boring at some point because it's like almost 700 pages
(view spoiler)[ I like the relationship she has with her nephews. I'm curious to know what happened to her brother and why dosen't she want Josh to know that his mom called. I guess Dallas is the love intrest, but i don't know why i thought it would be the other brother in the first chapter (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book. There might be some things in it that annoyed me, but in the end I still enjoyed it a lot. So I'll give it 4 stars again :D

Chapter 16
(view spoiler)[ I really like this so far, i'd say that my favorite parts so far are the relationship between the MC and her nephews, how she takes care of them and it's clear how much she cares for them and loves them. The Cristhy mom is just so mean, i really hate her. The romance is finally starting, she's admitting that she like him and it's clear he also cares a lot for her, so i can't wait to see how this is going to involve. Also, i'm curious about Dallas's brother and his story ans why he's always mean. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16
(view spoiler)[This has made me to think more about my mother and my thoughts about older people. But now I have started to have a feeling that this is so... normal. Everyday life. And I want books to offer escape from normal life. And this is so detailed about cleaning or making dinner. And the romance is still non-existent. But maybe soon? XD (hide spoiler)]

Johanna, this author waits until the last few chapters before the MC's acknowledge the romance. I like it that way though. Mariana Zapata is good at the slow burner romances

(view spoiler)[Oh boy, this is okay but for me too little happen. Or there is too little twists / happens too uninteresting things. I just have the feeling that nothing happens xD There happens, but tooooo slowly. I could just talk with my neighbours or friends and ask how they're doing and answers would be like this book. I'm not super excited about everyday boring life xD (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I liked how this made me to think about my relationship with old people, my mom and even neighbors. This had so much realistic interactions and I liked it. Overall this was okay read, but boring. With less pages this would have been so much better. I just didn't find so much action that would have explained this amount of pages. And that thing in the end: Dallas beating up a man who already has been in jail for his crimes. That's not fine. That's sick. (hide spoiler)]

Johanna, I agree with you about the ending!

I'm so glad!! I thought if I was only one even noticing it. Well there was still so much more happening, but it was really strange twist.

I hated that part too
