Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

Hi, I'm in desperate need of a GREAT book. Something that I won't DNF. I'm really picky and it's hard for me to find something I enjoy in the sea of books currently on the market. Can anyone please help and suggest some titles?

Must have:
• Possesive, sexy, territorial, overprotective hero
• Shy, timid FMC but NOT a mary sue
• CHEMISTRY
• Good writing
• GOOD PLOT

Can't stand:
• Books by L.J.SHEN and her friends
• Second chances
• Pregnancy
• Abusive hero
• Paranormal, magic, high-school and historical romance
• Fake issues that make no sense
• Cheating
• Detailed descriptions of many parts (ew!)

I read and truly enjoyed only a handful of books among which is my favourite Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire but the subsequent books in the series weren't that great.

I'm counting you! I'm dying to read something great!

This may be an obvious one but have you read the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day?

If not I'll list a few others that might work for you? It's been a while since I've read some of these so they may not fit all of your parameters but they should fit most of them.

Thank you for this post!! I’m a picky reader too and even the littlest things throw me off in books, it could be the characters names, red flags in the love interest, pacing etc. but we have exactly the same taste so imma enjoy reading these comments😌
I adored the shatter me series, it has a bit of abusive hero but then it turns out he isn’t, yaknow? Like it’s a persona. I would say give it a shot💕
