Without notice to members, Goodreads has changed everyone's privacy settings so that you can only receive message from "friends."
That means I can't welcome new members who haven't already friended me.
That means I can't alert all our members via the email blast of new activity in the group (except for those I am officially friends with).
Now I love you all, and welcome you all to the group, but I don't need to be friends with each and every one of you.
So, please, consider going into your settings and changing the setting of "who can send me private messages" to ANYONE.
I'll understand if you prefer to leave it as "friends" only ... if you'll understand why you never get message from me alerting you to new activity in the group.
