Diversity topic for October is Ageism

Can't We Talk about Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast

Sarah Rigg | 140 comments I really loved this when I first read it. I'm dealing with an elderly and terminally ill mother and aging in-laws, so this was very relevant to me.

I put this book on hold :)

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) This is really good!

Michaela | 187 comments I´m glad my library got it, so hope to get it soon!

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) This book is incredibly accurate. I live in a senior trailer park.

Michaela | 187 comments This was really good, though of course also depressing. My mum is getting more and more demented, which isn´t always easy. I liked the critical view of Chast on her parents who never want to think of illness or death and don´t get easier to handle once they get older.
