Welcome to the Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on October 20th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

Okay I managed to finish the other one so am jumping straight into this today

I have already cried on page 1. I don't read anything else in this sort of style and I read the first one while I was very poorly in hospital last year so it's brought up several emotions I didn't realise were still in me.

I love these boys so much - I can't wait to get further into this

How many pages were we going for each day? I don't think we ever decided.

Oh yeah the writing is so beautiful and full of heart, i already read first 160pgs pure stunning as had started before saw the buddy read options and thought be great read with others. Such a lovely story xx

It's just the innocence of the whole thing. They know things are shit around them but how they feel about each other is so clear and pure. It feels very romanticised but in a good way

Read the first 50 ish pages

So far it's sweet - it's a lot more whimsical than I remember the first book as being

Definitely woth you there. The love between them shines, despite all of their fears and starting to learn morw they still adore each other.

It is rathe romanticised and whimsical is perfect word to describethe writing style, but feels very unique and beautiful for that xx

I'm at page 100 and I love Ari more than I can say. All his insecurities are very relatable and the whole (view spoiler)[ 'Let yourself be loved. For all you know there's a long line of people wanting you to let them in' conversation with his mum hit too hard (hide spoiler)]

Ok so I kind of raced ahead and finished the book! Here to discuss as you guys catch up

I have mixed feelings about the ending to be honest...

I'm halfway through and I don't know if it's the style or length but I'm struggling even though I really want to read it if that makes any sense

I get you! I had similar feelings

I’m at the part after his friends and the funeral and I loved those scenes but I still feel like I’ve got miles to go and it’s quite an emotionally draining style

I need to catch up will try later, but i definitely feel its a bit emotionally draining and im not even halfway. The writing is beautiful and I do adore the characters, think a possible dnf for me though as struggling through xx

Finally finished it! Had a train ride to and home from London over the weekend and just took the lack of signal to knuckle down.

Loved it in the end but it did get to be a slog halfway through which I struggled with. Ending was cute - was kind of scared where they were going with it at first so close to the end
