Jeff Bailey The Dog on the Acropolis I have a lot to say about Mark Tedesco’s book, The Dog On The Acropolis. I’ll open by saying that it was hands down the best book I’ve read this year. There were no action scenes, gun battles, brutal murders, or conspiracies. There was no family turmoil, interpersonal strife, war, or famine. There was just a superbly crafted story about two dogs who lived on the Acropolis centuries apart and adopted the roles of greeter, guide, and host for the tourists that came to visit. It was just a story about two dogs, right? Animal Farm was just the story of some pigs. Lord Of The Flies was just the story of some lost boys. Tedesco captured the mystical and the historical romance of the Acropolis beautifully. He is a truly Renaissance author. Draco’s (one of the dogs) almost superspiritual ending made the whole story. I can’t recommend The Dog On The Acropolis more highly. Sometimes, there are just not enough stars. Jeff Bailey, author of the common conspiracy thriller Not On My Watch.
