Word: Night
Book: A Cry in the Night, by Mary Higgins Clark
Summary: Jenny meets a rich and famous artist, that sweeps her and her two young children out of her struggling existence to his family farm, with many secrets in store. As always, Ms. Higgins-Clark is an expert at building the suspense. A great read!

Key Word: Wicked
Book : Wicked Autumn by G. M. Malliet
English cozy murder mystery. I liked the protagonist, Father Max Tudor, Anglican priest and former MI5 operative. The setting and townspeople were well developed, but the author's style is clumsy in spots and the plot drags. I do love a British crime novel, and this one pays tribute to Agatha Christie in spots.

Joosje | 54 comments The Night the Angels Came by Cathy Glass I read The night the angels came. I like reading Cathy Glass's books about fostering. This was a particularly sad book, but I still enjoyed it. Challenge complete

Key word: Wicked
Name: A Wicked Snow
Author: Gregg Olsen

A mystery/thriller about a female mass murderer and her daughter. It was a bit of change for me. I like a mystery, but mass murderers are not usually my choice of topic. Also, this was my first Gregg Olsen book. I thought it was a good book and had a few twists that made it interesting. Surprised this isn't a movie yet.

Angel Shears | 7 comments Ladies Night by Mary Kay andrews
Completed 10/22
Key word night
Fun romantic comedy with a little mystery. I enjoyed the book and characters. It is mostly about a group of divorced women who have been wronged by their cheating husbands. Friendships are formed, love is found and a mystery solved. Great characters

Elba M (elbamsosa) | 69 comments I am blaming baseball ⚾ for my delay in posting my challenge word book. I read The wicked Read Head by Beatriz Williams and I was so disappointed. Ms Williams is one of my favorite author. It was difficult to give it a two ⭐⭐ rating. It's a dual time book but most of it takes place in 1924 during the Prohibition time. The book tried to be so many things but it failed. I was sad because the author and the title of the book seemed to be a perfect match.

Simone (simonec75) Reading challenges really push me outside my comfort zone. In October I read a book off my Around the World in 80 Books list. The book I read was: The Ghost Rider
