thanks to pax (ever so smart boy) we learn some interesting facts. The Golds re-engineered the Obsidians to make them more predictable. When the Ascomanni started causing trouble, the Fear Knight (Atlas) was sent to deal with them and almost didn’t return. honestly kind of think that sefi has really something for these gold and she might be right(not serious though 😅)

my brief, brief thoughts:

- darrow is ready to kick ass! he's back in the game! yay!

- lysander is a little bitch who has somehow escaped death soooo many times and i hate it. again, i wish he and ajax would kill each other. hate him.

- apollonius appeared out of nowhere and honestly i don't need another unpredictable issue for darrow... go away, apollonius.

- lyria is alive and has some backbone - yay! hopefully she and volga get out of there, because victra doesn't look to be letting them free anytime soon.

- speaking of victra, i wish she'd get the kids back, because i worry for pax and electra now that they know sevro is in trouble and virginia might be - might be - dead. also i still don't trust ephraim.

- ephraim is just an untrustworthy little piece of crap, another unpredictable and possibly problematic issue for darrow and the others to have to handle... i don't like it. and damn that last chapter was crazy... he really got insanely high, huh. can't believe he didn't die because of it. honestly, i barely know what his mission is haha, i just don't care that much and i wanna know what the more interesting characters are up to!

this book is crazy! i'll hopefully continue soon.
