wow , i finished this giant ass of a book. and I'll- just go ahead and update here.

-firstly , the things that lyria haven't been through along with Volga and victra. honestly i hated it.lyria thinks she can handle everything , even though she tried , but still she is only 19.

-I'm glad Ephraim came to her rescue (kinda) but Just when I was starting to like Ephraim , he is killed.and gruesomely 🙃🙃😶 I don’t know if I’ve ever read a book where a perspective dies but is he dead dead???

-sefi dies.okay.And I don’t think this was intentional, but Pierce sorta made a case for why women shouldn’t be leaders.

-bastard Lys knocks out the niece and shoots Alexandar in the head. (i guess Darrow’s niece likes Alexandar.) Are you having fun yet?omg someone freaking stop him already.

-again we have more reunition for Darrow and lys , this time Darrow knows who this bastard is. fucking yes.the reason of 70% this damages , alive and safe across you. but you know what ?? i can see darrow's tiredness and breaking.

-ahh slingBlade is broken. Let’s hope that comes back to bite Lys in the face.

-and just when i was losing hope, Cassius arrives and busts them out. he is alive after all , and what a COMEBACK!! Time for a victory dance. Okay, that’s all the time we’ve got.

-Lys sees Cassius standing in the back of the ship as it flies away and I was grinning like a fool. Ha! For the whole book Lys kept remarking on how Cassius was dead and he’s so sad. And now he sees Cassius flying off with Darrow and it makes me so happy. Suck it, Lysander!



-funny but why everyone is thinking others are dead?? i mean it does makes sense , given the fact that this book is literally bloody as hell, but now Virginia also thinks Darrow is dead🙃🙃goodness spare us all.

-let's talk about the ending shall we?? one good and one bad.
the good is, finally , after millions of billions of years , at least pax and Electra, and victra and virginia are reunited. i am absolutely revealed. it one big thing i wanted to see at the end of this book and i got it.honestly , they suffered enough.



-the bad????? Lys marring Atalantia—his aunt, so gross.to show that he has no aspirations of undermining her.and of course , Ajax is unhappy (who cares what you think here haaaa??)

-also, I'm glad someone finally slightly opened lys's eyes to what happened around him.

- i know, i feel like this is one of the only series where the author will really kill a main character! so props to pierce for that. and yep, ephraim is dead dead... rip. he had his moments and he was never an absolute favourite for me, but he did redeem himself at the end, and he was one of the good guys.
- oop i def don't think that was intentional, but i kinda see it now... but anyway dang i can't believe sefi is gone as well, same thing as ephraim where i didn't always love her choices but she was one of the good ones.

- yes cass!! he's definitely redeemed himself, and i'm proud!! what an icon. darrow will definitely live, i refuse to believe otherwise, whether their be a blade through his lung or not. he's survived worse.
- i knowwww like y'all shouldn't claim people are dead until you see their verified and definitely dead body... it's no way to raise morale if you're telling people that darrow is dead! though i can't wait for darrow's return, it will probably be dramatic as hell and i'm excited.
- RIGHT RIGHT like yayyy the mothers finally have their kids again!!! yay!! cuties
- ew ew lys and atalantia... ugh both of them should go die, i'm sorry but they're kinda ruining my fav characters' lives haha.

goddamn! this book was a ride! now we wait for the next one... i wonder how long book #6 will be😅
