I've renamed this folder, which has been called 'For the Blogless' for quite a while. I love the nostalgia element of the old name, but it seems to confuse a lot of newer participants, and many of us who use this folder do actually have blogs and still like using a personal readathon log in this space. Hopefully this change works well enough for us during this year's readathons.
If you are new to this, click the link that says 'new topic' just above the column headers for the folder. It will bring you to a page that says "Post New Discussion Topic". Give your topic a name, something like "Brunhilde's Readathon Adventure" or "Siegfried's Readathon Log", etc. Make sure the For the Blogless folder is selected for your topic's folder. Type an initial comment to start your topic (Hi, this is my readathon update spot.... or Here is my TBR for the Fall 2021 readathon, or whatever.). Click the Post button, and you should have a shiny new thread in the For the Blogless folder. As long as you still have an account on Goodreads, are still a member of this group, and don't leave your thread inactive for 5+ years, your thread in this folder will remain a great spot for posting what you are doing for the Dewey's readathons.
Just in case anyone was wondering, we have not deleted any topics from this For the Blogless folder in a very long time now. If you want to use your existing topic, please do. I will go through and archive some topics(from former members no longer on Goodreads, and ones that clearly were only intended to be used for one long-past event) after the Fall readathon, just so this folder is easier to use, After 2017 it was pretty much decided that we don't really get rid of threads on here so long as they are still being used, so when we tidy up and archive old stuff after each readathon we don't automatically archive this section. If you have old threads of yours on here that you WANT me to archive, click the 'edit' link next to your topic, and add the word "ARCHIVE" to your topic's title. I will then close and archive them.
