My friend, Julie in California shared this post on a children’s book group I belong to. I thought it might be fun to post Julie’s random quiz here.
This is for all of us readers.
I ran across this article today. It's called "The Libraries of Who We Are" https://www.tor.com/2021/09/30/the-libr ... 309b9cb915 and the author talks about what books we keep in our personal libraries. The readers comments at the end of the article are just as interesting.
This quote spoke to Julie:
Why do we keep anything? Why do we choose anything? Everything we do says something about who we are, what we value, even if all we can say in a given moment is that we’re tired and worn out and just need soft pants and a book we know every word of already, a book we could follow along with while half asleep.
Which led Julie to wonder and ask all of you these questions:
1. What books have you kept from childhood and why?
2. How many books are in your personal library (more or less)?
3. How do you organize your books?
4. If you had to move, would you take all of your books - no matter what?
5. Have you read every book on your shelf or do you have a huge TBR pile?
6. If you have downsized your library over the years, how did you choose what to get rid of?
7. Is there a personal story you would like to share about your personal library/book collections?
8. What book has been sitting around the longest waiting to be read?
