Stuart arrives at Inti's door asking for the money she owes him. He threatens to call her each night until he gets it. He also is sure to tell her to not come over his house and speak to his wife. Inti goes over Duncan's house as she needs company after experiencing Stuart's uncomfortable visit. Inti had thoughts about her age and possibly wanting children. They had a conversation about past relationships. Inti also shared with him Stuart coming over for his money.
Inti flashed back to the time her father had slapped Aggie for dropping a bottle. Inti recalls a pattern of his anger and that anger was given to Aggie. Their father left with his horse and they didn't see him again.
Inti had a trip to the pharmacy and while she was there, she was looking for a new doctor for Aggie. She sees Lainey Burns who asks about the horse. Inti asks how Lainey is after Stuart's beating and in return Lainey angrily asks how she is. Stuart comes in the pharmacy asking Inti, once more to leave his wife alone. After they leave, Inti goes after Stuart and Lainey and asks him why he is outside her house watching. Duncan arrives to stop the war of words. He ask Inti to leave Stuart alone for her own safety. Both return to Duncan's house.
Inti recalls the violence in her father against her sister. why didn't he direct that anger towards her? Lainey still defends Stuart, why? Inti is determined to stop Stuart from hurting Lainey, but is it at a growing risk to her safety? Duncan's affection is growing for Inti? Does Inti have the ability to put her fears aside and accept love? Can she trust Duncan's intentions? Are Inti and Duncan in danger of Stuart?
