What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book 2013-2014 ish when I was in middle school. It was about this high school age girl who one day sees this boy(she can't quite tell if it is a boy or not) around her age walking in the snow around the town that she lives in. The boy always disappeared into the snow whenever she gets too close. She isn't the only one to see this boy either and even her mother sees him.
I can't remember how the book ends.

Was he a real boy?

Or was he a ghost? Or a girl in disguise?

I can't remember if the boy was a ghost or not. I don't that he was a ghost but I can't say for sure.
