You aren't reading if you're listening to the book!!!

Yeah. You can technically listen to a book if you can’t physically read. Therefore it isn’t”reading”

Ayathma | 230 comments Actually like reading. Don't like to listen to an audio book

Nicole Hathaway (bbnicolehathaway) I like audio books because I can listen to them when I'm working

Bookworm | 14 comments I don't think that it counts as specifically "reading" but you're still experiencing the book when you're listening to it... does that make sense?

Yes. I mean, on gr, you can mark it as "read", but you can't go around telling people you read a book if you listened to an audiobook...

message 10: by Bookworm (new)

Bookworm | 14 comments Yeah but... I think most people will say that they "read" the book because, at least for me, that's just a way of saying that you experienced it. I dont know... I guess it just comes more naturally than saying "I listened to a book"

No. Listening is not reading. You have to have to book and be looking at the words to be reading the book.

Hailey (hva333) If you are listening to an audiobook, it is not reading. A voice is reading to you, but you are no reading of your own accord.
