Cheryl Coppens | 599 comments Alice Shipley has gone to Tangier with her new husband, John. The last person she expects to see is Lucy, her former roommate, who she hasn't spoken to in over a year. Alice and Lucy used to be best friends, but after an accident they no longer speak. Since Lucy has come all this way Alice feels she needs to give Lucy a chance.Soon things start to go very wrong around Lucy again.
What do I have to say about this book? My first thought is "finally". It felt like I would never finish this book. It moved so slow that I actually fell asleep trying to read it several times. It wasn't until about 3/4 of the way through that anything even happened. If I didn't need this for Fly the PBT skies I wouldn't have finished it.

I feel for you. I read a YA book last month that took me forever for the same reason. Don't you hate it when a relatively short book eats so much of your time? It sounds like I dodged a bullet. I almost got this one too for Morocco.

I ended up reading Who Is Maud Dixon? which was a fast fun read. I didn't pick up much about Morocco though, so I might also read a book by Moroccan author Leila Slimani.

Joy D | 10083 comments Thanks for the review. I saw this one at my e-library and almost checked it out, but now I find something else.

message 5: by Meli (new) - added it

Meli (melihooker) | 4165 comments Oh no, I hate to hear that because I have had this book since it came out! It was pretty buzzed at the time, disappointed it might be slow but I will give it a fair shot eventually.
