Let me say, the first book was a little slow for me. I was kinda confused on what was happening, and I thought it was really strange.

I would definitely agree. I wasn't necessarily confused, just bored and a little weirded out. I was thinking why on earth did my best friend, who I thought had good taste in books, make me read this??? And then about halfway through I realized how invested I was, and the rest is history...
How shocked were you by the ending?

I expected it because I read the back 🤦🏻‍♀️(it literally ruins everything) but I was really shocked when I read that. How about you??

Lol! I literally didn't put two and two together even thought the back of the book literally says "lost royal families!" so there's that... I was kind of surprised, although by the end of the book I was kind of expecting it. It didn't lessen the impact though! I'm pretty sure I still squealed when I read it! Didn't you love the imagery at the end? Like with the storm and cold and dark but Peet's house was warm and happy??? It made me tear up!

Yes!!!! Peet is such a wonderful uncle, even though he doesn’t realize it. I love him ❤️

Lol! I love hearing people who have different opinions! Yeah, it was definitely my least fav of all the books. I kinda hate the first half. Although can we all agree on how awesome the introduction is???
