Lol! That's awesome! Do you want me to give you a thread that you can post it on? Or we could turn it into a CS - or we can stop bothering you about it... 😆
This is a folder where we can discuss, exchange, and critique each others' writing. If you're wondering, back on the old Wingfeather Saga forum, we had this great thing called The Flabbit Room - which is exactly this. Except, The Flabbit Room wasn't my idea, hence the part about plagiarism.
Aaaaanyway, this is where you introduce your work. It would be great if you can include the genre you write, a brief summary, if you plan to get your work published, and a scale of 1-5 on how brutal you want other peoples' critiques to be. (1=tiny corrections, 2=larger corrections, 3=moderate critiques, perhaps some suggestions on plot/character improvement, 4=nit-picky corrections along with a lot of honest critiques concerning the larger piece, 5=brutally honest - everything from grammar issues to plot short-comings to off-putting sentences. The most awful you can possibly be without burning the world - or breaking the group's rules😁)
I write fantasy.
Currently I'm working on a series about a multi-dimensional world. Evie is a girl living with her abusive mother and ailing brother. She soon finds out there's far more to her past - and her future - than she ever could have dreamed. Kilied lives with his dragon Balorico and his sister Kirielle. When darkness defeats the Fringe and ends up blackening his world, he must flee with Kirielle to a safer place. Finally, Leytera lives in Talcior, a xenophobic, technologically advanced society. Above all, Talceens hate outsiders. Thus, there is clearly a problem when Leytera finds an outsider in Talcior.
I'm hoping to publish within the next 2-3 years.
I want 5's. 6's if possible! Destroy my work. It's the only way it will get better!
I'm thinking (and y'all can input your thoughts too) we can start a thread for each person who wants critiques on your work so that things don't get wacko disorganized.
Finally, in the old Flabbit Room, many people chose to participate in Collaborative Stories, which are basically role-plays designed to build your authorship skills. I'd be happy to start some CS's on here if anyone else is interested!
