My husband gifts me a subscription to Book of the Month for a year every Christmas. It's the best and worst idea, hahaha! Happy hiking to you, too!

Wrapped up what I hoped would be the final book of my 2021 climb...but it can be the first book of 2022's climb instead!

Literally a new all-time favorite. I'm sad I let this just chill on my shelves for almost 3 years.

Have you read The Song of Achilles? Miller writes mythology so good!! Persephone is next!

Yes!! I loved The Song of Achilles, too! I also cried a lot in both books. Can't wait for Persephone to rip my heart out, too! 😂

haha totally!

FINALLY I've finished something else. Covid ripped through my house and I just had no brain space for reading.

Hang in there, it shall pass eventually. I found that if I just move onto something else, not force a particular book, just keep trying different books until one book clicks. Sometimes trying a different style or genre than usual may work.

I just haven't had the brain power to read I think. Just my mashed potato brain re-reading the same thing over and over and not holding onto it. Hahaha!

Tried a re-read of this middle school fave of mine. Held up decently."
Oooh I read this trilogy in middle/high school and LOVED it. Still own them, maybe a re-read soon!

Finally got around to this one, which I've had as an ARC since maybe November of last year. I will absolutely be pressing it into the hands of every hearing person I know. Deaf culture, Deaf community, Deaf history, ASL...truly people around me will be forced to read this so they can better understand me. XD

I'm re-reading the first two because I never read the third book!! Trying to rectify that error. Hahahaha!

So many series from my teen years that weren't complete at the time and then because pre-Goodreads I didn't know when they finished, I never finished reading them. lol.

Yes!! This series and Eragon are the two I'd like to finally finish.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Eragon series! lol. But Paolini's adult sci-fi novel was really good!

I've been debating picking it up!! This definitely pushes me toward it!

One of the last books I ordered in 2021, my January book of the month box books. I ordered them on New Year's Eve instead of socializing. Oops. 🤣

Forgot this in my previous update!
22.

Found this ARC hiding in my pre-2022 section. What a wild ride!

I genuinely LOVED this one!! I love Caribbean fiction though, so I went into it assuming I'd enjoy it too. I loved a lot of what this book did, and I definitely think you should give it a go!! :) I wrote a lil review on my instagram @bravereads if you want to see what I thought! :)

Kate Stradling fairytale retellings: yes, yes, yes!"
I've never heard of her but I love fairy tale retellings! Will definitely be checking out!

I've read two so far and I loved them both. They read and FEEL like fairytales still, if that makes sense. It's what I particularly enjoy!

Another New Years Eve 2021 Book of the Month pick. 🤣
