● First and foremost, please read the rules if you did not do so when you joined—thank you!
● A random number generator has been used to select one stand-alone novel to read each month. The books have been set up on the Group Bookshelf and notifications will be sent out to let you know what book we're reading.
● In addition, a book series will also be selected in the same manner as above. While we are highlighting the first book in the series, you are encouraged to read the rest of the series as you like.
This will mean we're reading two books per month (one stand-alone and one book from a series).
Given real life responsibilities and that members may be reading other books for other groups and still more for their own pleasure, I think this is a reasonable goal. Our aim is to enjoy reading through the list. It shouldn't feel like a job and there shouldn't be any pressure.
● Discussion topics for the selected books may be posted for group discussion, but feel free to discuss what you are reading on your individual bookshelves. Participation is not necessary, but encouraged. Spoilers are allowed, so be aware before joining in to peruse members' thoughts and reviews.
Past and current group read discussions are linked in the topic THE LIST. I will continue to do the same for future selections, for your convenience. Once a discussion is open for a list book it will remain so indefinitely. Please don't hesitate to resume a thread that's been idle.
● There is a folder named Members' Progress. Create a personal bookshelf using the easy guide in the topic How to Create a Virtual Bookshelf. List the books you've read previously and log your progress as we take this journey together.
