When little Mia’s father, Andrew, retrieves her, Kim has to later notify him of his wife Katrina’s murder. His sister Ella was there and takes charge of everything. Were you immediately suspicious or was she too easy?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Yes I was. Ella rubbed me the wrong way. I didn't like the way she took over for Andrew; it was more than helping a grieving husband for his wife. I put her on my list immediately, but then I thought it was an Angela trap that I fall for every time.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was suspicious too. Ella showed up at the house and seemed to be directing everything. She even told the cops that they would not need a police advocate since she was staying at the house.

Lynn (ftbooklover) Oh yes, she was much too controlling and it seemed out of place.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 104 comments Oh she was on my radar right away. Bad vibes from that woman!

I know she looked too easy but I still thought maybe Marsons was using reverse psychology😏

That woman creeped me out. It felt like she was just waiting in the wings to take over this family.

With Marsons you always have to worry about things like that.

Isn’t that the truth!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree. You never know when she is going to "throw a spanner in the works" as Roarke would say.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Ella was very cold and off-putting. She reminded me of the sister from Child's Play (the one about the gifted children). In fact, there are many similarities between this book and that one.

There are definitely similarities between these two characters.
