Meanwhile, Stacey is working on “shuffle files,” unsolved cases from other boroughs under Woody. She decides on a rape case that was similar to one with a conviction but was problematic because of the victim’s feelings about the rapist. Did you think Gemma and Lesley’s rapes were really committed by the same man or did you have doubts?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I wasn't sure. There was something going on with Lesley that didn't ring true. I wasn't sure if the rapes were related or maybe the wrong person was convicted of Gemma's rape. It was an interesting case, I enjoyed following the clues with Stacey.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I wasn't sure either. The rapes were very similar except for the fact that Lesley thought the perpetrator didn't want to actually rape her. I started thinking that Lesley was trying to justify the rapists actions.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I also wasn't sure either especially since I didn't see any connection with the murder case.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 104 comments I wasn't sure either, but I was really invested in this line of the story arc.

This really was a puzzler! I went back and forth about it. Gemma was so sure it was Sean that it kept me in her camp for a long time. But, he just didn’t fit for Lesley, especially since Gemma’s rape would have been about revenge. After a while, I started thinking about partners.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments I was convinced from the start that there was more than one rapist. Despite the similarities, Leslie's sense about the man who attacked her was just too different from Gemma's to be the same person.

I actually found it interesting that this is the first time the main and secondary investigations (Stacey's case and the INEPT one) are linked.
