Alison Lowe is consulted by Kim about Flora Bridges (the public relations team liaison) and Woody’s message directive. Alison is unofficially there with the team but initially confirms what they want Kim to say but later recognizes that she wasn’t being true to herself. Kim trusts her instincts and doesn’t follow their direction, later taking a serious chewing out from Woody and then delivers a tough chewing out of her own to Alison. Your thoughts about all of it?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Kim was brave to follow her instincts. She knew Woody would be angry with her. She sensed that Alison wasn't responding the way she wanted. Kim getting in Alison's face made her decide if she wants to use her skills or kick them aside and do nothing. Kim tells her if she made a mistake that is one thing but following when she knows it is wrong is something else.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I was conflicted on this one. I felt bad for Alison because she has already been through the ringer as a result of one of their earlier cases. However, I do think that Kim did the right thing by going with her own instincts.

That was a courageous move on Kim’s part because she flagrantly disobeyed an order. But, she knows the psychology of killers, which is why she went to someone she trusted. I believe the only reason she beat up on Alison was to make her wake up. It worked.

Tough love?

Exactly!

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Kim had to follow her own instincts. She is never going to be a "yes woman" and I don't think Woody wants her to be one either no matter how angry he was.
