Lynne intervenes with Penn & Jasper, helping them come together and grieve over the loss of their mother. Your thoughts about what she did? Where did that insight come from?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Lynne knows Penn from watching him on the job. Her insight watching Jasper copy Penn lets her know that Jasper is afraid to grieve because Penn isn't grieving, which makes Jasper angry. I was touched that she came when Jasper called and listened.

This sets up an emotional scene for me. I cried like a baby when Penn talked about their mother in hospice. That they could hope that she would get better. It reminded me of my mother.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Jasper takes his cues from Penn. Lynn realized that he was trying to keep his emotions inside because Penn was doing the same. I think she knows Penn and Jasper well enough to see what is going on. It was so nice that she could be there for both of them.

Lynn (ftbooklover) Lynne was really important, serving as a conduit for Jasper and Penn to reconnect. The whole thing about the death of their mother was so very sad.

Sharon, memories of my Mom flooded in, too.

Lynne has always had a very special connection to Jasper and it makes sense that she’d already figured out his dynamic with Penn. of course, she knows Penn well and is emotionally tied to him already. I’m just happy that these two wonderful people had someone like Lynne to resolve their issues. They deserved her.
