Never too Late to Read Classics discussion

The story concerns the Egyptian mummy of Cheops, who is brought back to life in the year 2126. The novel describes a future filled with advanced technology, and was the first English-language story to feature a reanimated mummy.

Oh wow, it sounds really interesting. I am looking forward to reading this.

I read, with much interest, Jane Loudon's horror/sci-fi classic last year.
Written in 1827 when she was 20 makes this novel a must read for this group.

I enjoyed the book. It was like a horror story, sci-fi, and romantic comedy all rollled up into one story. I also liked how Cheops brought out everyones true colors.

I so want to join you for this one, but not sure I can squeeze it in this month.
I will definitely read it soon and will try to remember to come back and comment on it.
How is everyone else finding it?

I like reading books from the past written about the future. This was a fun one.
