For the first time in several years, I don't think I will complete my reading goal! Last year, with Covid, I read a record number (for me) of book. With the easing of restrictions this year, there has been more in person interactions with family, friends and organizations to which I belong. I have found that I don't spend as much time reading as I have the past few years. Also, with aging family members, there were lots of health concerns so more time spent with family.
Anyone else finding this as well?

Wanda (callie4) | 330 comments Last year was my record year as well. I had planned on reading less this year because I felt I was spending too much time reading. But then came the book chain challenge! I have become obsessed with it. So this year looks like it will be a record. Next year hopefully I will find other things to do. As for aging family members I am the "aging" family member. The only concern I may have given my family is that I read too much!

I think i could still reach my goal, but only because i set it much lower than in past years. so in a way me too! i have definitely been reading less, though i'm not certain why. i think 2018 was my record year and doesn't come close to you two haha!

I’ve already met my goal, but my reading has dropped since mid-August because I started graduate school. The one regret I have about going back to school is the impact it’s had on my reading. Well, I am reading a lot for school, but none of it is on Goodreads! 😂

I've found the same thing - last year and this year have been records for me, but with things going back to 'normal' my reading stats will suffer :(
