Hunger Games Role Play and Fan Group discussion

After the hot desert, the fog and cold air was definitely a change as Hazelle jogged into the cave. She still had her bow out, nocked with an arrow. And everything else was in her bag on her back. 'Maybe I'll find some water here' she thought to herself as she inched into the fog more.
Hazelle saw a figure in the fog and quickly shot her loaded arrow at it. And after a few seconds, she heard a thump. She used her senses to quietly go over to the figure, and it turned out to be a tribute. The male tribute from five to be exact, Ren Rider. She looked over him, trying to find anything useful, but when she didn't find anything good, she left him, with a soft prayer and continued on into the fog.
Charlotte gasped and gathered her stuff up and slid behind a wall, watching the girl go into the save. She certainly wasn’t planning to follow her in. Not with her weapon, even as Charlotte had her own spear.

((It's fine XD I was editing my post to be longer anyways!))
Hazelle froze when she heard a very human like gasp somewhere around her. Probably either behind her or off to one of her front sides, she figured out. Quickly, she nocked another arrow onto her bow, "Hello?" she called out, her voice slightly echoing. Whoever it was, she would rather them not be willing to fight her, she was tired and still pretty thirsty. As well as hungry. She wouldn't even try to kill them, unless they fought her first.
Charlotte stepped out, hands up in surrender. “Don’t shoot! Please.” She couldn’t keep the fear from her voice. “I-I don’t want to kill you. Or anyone. I just wanted to see what I had with me.”

Hazelle actually laughed, "You're the girl from District 11 right? The one that volunteered for, who was it, a siblings? Maybe a cousin?" She pushed for an answer as she lowered her bow slightly. She was ready to lower it all the way, but she didn't know if she could trust the other girl, "That volunteering stuff takes guts, I'll give you that" as she spoke, a faint Capital like accent was recognizable. She never said she wouldn't be killing the girl, but she slowly unloaded the arrow but she left it hanging in place on the bow.

After a quick few seconds, Hazelle stopped laughing. "You didn't see my reaping video?" She asked, slightly puzzled. "Well no, I didn't even get the chance to volunteer. Apparently, the President picked me out by themselves" She said with a whisper, scared that there were microphones nearby. Anyone could tell she was annoyed though. "That's pretty young. I think we have a tribute here in these Games whose the same age. I forget her name though. But I would have done the same thing, the Games are wrong" She said, her voice going slightly louder. "Also, I recommend that you either drop your weapons or lighten your grip on them" Hazelle stated with tone of warning.
Hazelle actually laughed, "You're the girl from District 11 right? The one that volunteered for, who was it, a siblings? Maybe a cousin?" She pushed for an answer as she lowered her bow slightly..."
((You cant unload an arrow and leave it hanging, it's logically impossible.))

Hazelle nodded her head, understanding that the videos were hard to watch. "Oh you know, for old times sake" She started sarcastically before continuing on, "My mother and father were rather close to the President, before my mother tried to end the Hunger Games by killing the President. She never got that far though, she was shot down by Peacekeepers. So, the President decided to make me get pick for my District's Reaping" She finished bitterly. The girl didn't add that her mother was a Gamemaker and she didn't add anything else about the matter. "Really now?" Hazelle challenged, "I'm sure you are very talented. But, I've taken down two tributes so far and I'm perfectly able to kill you too. Don't make me" At the last part, her voice got slightly softer, almost begging the other girl to not try to attack her. "Oh right, yes Kenna. I'd like to meet her before, ya know. One of us dies. I want to talk to her" It sounded worse than she wanted it too. But all she wanted to say to Kenna was that it'd be okay. Even if the younger girl died, she'd be going to a better place with nobody trying to stab you in the back.

"Yeah I guess I can see where he was coming from, but still. At least he didn't kill my dad, I have that to thank him for" Hazelle said with a quick shrug. "Though, I'd never really thank him. I'd murder him first" She said bluntly. Of course, she'd probably die in these Games before she ever had the chance, "Sure. I guess I'll believe you. Since we've been talking for what? Ten minutes? And neither of us have made a move to harm the other" She commented. "What? No!" She burst out, surprised. "I just want to tell that it will be okay, I can only imagine what it's been like for her, being in the games so young" Hazelle started, "Honestly, as much as I don't want Kenna to die. I kind of hope she does. Because if she wins, multiple people in the Capital will just want her as a toy for them to play with. Or she'd become a show doll for the Peacekeepers in the Districts. Even worse, if she wins, her family would be endanger since every little thing she does or will do, affects them" She comments quickly.
Hazelle actually laughed, "You're the girl from District 11 right? The one that volunteered for, who was it, a siblings? Maybe a cous..."
((oh, isn't that still loaded though?))

))"
((I think that's a recurve bow. Compound bows are more like this, with the gears at th..."
((Yeah, not that one, prob. Recurve.))

"Yeah I'm glad too, thank you" Hazelle said with a soft voice before adding, "It's alright, it isn't your fault. Plus I can kind of see where the President is coming from." Well, she did understand why he did such a thing but that didn't mean she had to like it. "More like half of the population would" She spoke freely now, she wasn't really worried about dying, since the Games would probably kill her anyways. There was a very little chance she'd go back home. "I'm fine with us being allies, I feel like I can trust you. Plus, we'd both survive longer if we stick together" Hazelle answered with a nod, confident in her answer. "Because. If she dies, she'll go to the sky and she'll definitely become a star. There, she'll have the chance to either leave her life above, where there isn't any corruption or she could decided to rebirth. If she ends up living, meaning she'd get through the Games, every year she'd have to relive what she went through here. And I don't want that for her" She said as a few tears ran down her face, though she quickly wiped them away. "Oh. I didn't hear about that. I mean, I saw part of the interview but the TVs cut out in my District because people were starting to riot and the Peacekeepers had to calm down the situation. I'm surprised I'm not dead honestly, I don't know if you heard what I said during my interview, but it was just as bad" Hazelle commented before putting her hand in front of herself, her bow was moved to her back, "Allies. I really hope you get through this." She talked as if she already knew she was dead.

"Yeah it is, sometimes I just wish the Districts would completely rebel against the Capital. I mean, we have a larger popularity anyways. Though I doubt the Career Districts would join in with the rest" As Hazelle said this, she felt like she had a pain in her heart. Sure, a lot of the Capital was bad. But there were people and children who where under the Presidents mind control, and they didn't even know what they were doing was wrong. "I'm sure we will. In a minute we could look over our supplies? I was able to grab a few things." She didn't grab much, but she was able to at least get a backpack. "Thanks. My parents always told me that. And I do another 'tradition' my parents always liked. When I, well kill someone, I always either whisper a quick prayer out loud for them to be able to go to the stars or I pray for them later" Hazelle explained, her voice cracking a bit here and there. "And I'll help you" She quickly said, "Oh wow. That's rough, sedatives aren't ever good" She winced too, she hated sedatives. "12 mouthed off to? I didn't even know, my mentor dragged me back to my floor to yell at me. Thank you though, I didn't really feel brave to be honest. Just.. mad" Hazelle paused for a second before softly adding, "They couldn't hurt my family even more if they tried. My mother is gone and my father is lost in his own head. He barely even remembers me. Plus I have no siblings" When Charlotte took her hand, she gently squeezed it with another batch of tears in her eyes as she laughed. The laugh wasn't out of happiness, it almost sounded broken or insane, "I'll do everything I can to help you win. Even if that mean ending myself. I know you can make a difference. But please, I know I'm going to die, the Capital will insist that I do. If I don't, the President wouldn't stop to get to me" She paused again as she rubbed her thumb over the other girls hand. "He wouldn't let me out of the arena" Hazelle finished with a quiet whimper.
Meanwhile in the gamemaker's office the president walks in and snaps. "Eliminate her!"
Meanwhile in the gamemaker's office the president walks in and snaps. "Eliminate her!""
((Oo. Dang. Wasn't expecting that to happen))"
((lol))
((It's all good! We're trying not to use to many things from Katniss' hg.))

((Hopefully this is good. I'm trying to turn the fog into like an idea))
Hazelle crocked her head, the fog making it harder for her to see the girl in front of her, but she didn't really think of it. "I know, it's truly terrible and it needs to be stopped" she said, her tone matching Charlotte's, "I have that red bag and a few other things. So, a small blanket, rope, dried fruit, a box of ten matches, some duct tape and a first aid kit. Then of course my bow and the arrows" She informed the other girl. She paused, tears running down her face down. She would wipe them, but she didn't want to let go of Charlotte's hand and plus, the fog was getting thicker now. "T-thank you" She mumbled, "I just don't want them to be forgotten, you know?" Hazelle noticed a flicker of movement, probably from the other girl's hair. "I'm actually not surprised 12 was so angry. I mean, the victor from last years Games was from 12 and she went through so much in the last Games. I know it is" She whispered as she chocked up on tears before answering, "It's okay, I'll find my mother again soon enough, and my father might get better, hopefully he doesn't remember I was reaped. It'd break his poor mind." The fog was starting to make it harder to breath, the humidity hurting her lungs. Hazelle laughed soft, giving in, "No no, I'm not going to win by myself. I can't just let you die, you'll win with me. Whether the President likes it o-" She voice cuts out as the image of Charlotte flickers. She blinked a few times but when she saw what she thought was the other girl reaching out to hug her, she relaxed a bit and she let 'Charlotte' hug her. And in doing so, Hazelle let go of the real Charlotte's hand. Once the fog reached her, she knew something was off. But by this point, the fog had engulfed them completely. Something was definitely wrong, "Charlotte!?" She called out, not knowing how far away the other girl was as she grabbed her bow from off of her back. She grabbed an arrow and slashed at the fake version of Charlotte, upset that she was tricked by the fog's games.
The 'Charlotte' pulls and tries to grab her.

Hazelle, on the inside, was panicking. How was she supposed to fight something that wasn't real? But on the outside, she was calm and controlled as she continued to slash at the fog. "Charlotte, listen closely, please" She started, desperateness in her voice, "Do you think you could find your way out of the fog? We need to get out of here, I can hold if off and I'd meet up with you" She didn't really want to do this, but she didn't want Charlotte to get hurt and she didn't know how much longer she could actually hold off the fake monster. "There's a forest, go there and I'll be there as soon as I can" She spoke with neutral tone, as she hacked at the fog. "Or you could go to the Cornucopia. Either way I'd find you."

Hazelle stayed silent for several seconds, though it seemed like minutes, after Charlotte said to follow her voice. "How far away would you say you are from where we were?" Finally her voice rang out, while fighting the fog, she herself had moved a multiple feet away from their original spot. "If you can, grab your stuff and hold your spear. You might need it. And than, say my name until I find you. Once I find you, I'll grab your hand. If you feel anything other than me touching your hand. Run" The fog had grabbed Hazelle as she was talking out loud, it held onto her arm. She yelped and whipped an arrow at the fog, "Get off me you freak!" She said to the monster before making her voice softer to speak to Charlotte again, "Can you do that for me?"

Hazelle didn't hear what Charlotte said at first, making her worried that something had happened to her, but she heard the second part, "Okay gre-" She started to call out to the other girl but the fog monster gripped her arms and tightly with both of it's 'arms', and it cut off what she was going to say as she cursed at the fog, trying to get free. What am I going to do? She thought as she managed to get free and she shouldered her bow to grab another arrow to duel wield them. The fog thickening made it harder for Hazelle to hear, but if she was quiet enough, she was able to hear Charlotte faintly calling her name. Slowly, she edged towards the other girl's voice, never looking away from the fog creature. Until finally she realized something, It doesn't want to get away, they sent if for me. It won't stop until I'm die her mind raced with thoughts and ideas. "Charlotte!" She screamed, she didn't know how well the other girl could hear her in all of this fog. "I think I'm closer to you, but I need you to get ready to run. This thing isn't going to let us leave easily." As she called out, her throat burned from lack of water and the fog. At the very least, Charlotte would be able to get away. Hazelle really didn't want her to get hurt and she wanted her to be okay. "Ready? I'm going to try and quickly distract it and I'll call out go when you need to start running. I promise I'll be close behind you."

With a deep exhale, Hazelle slashed at the fog twice. With each swing, the fog moved back slightly and she made sure it stayed back. With a breath in, she put both arrows into her quiver, on her back, and turned around. Seconds went by as she sprinted towards Charlotte's fading voice, somewhere along the way, she bump harshly into a sharp rock and was gifted a large gash on her left leg. But she continued to run, finally she somewhat made out Charlotte's figure, "Go!" She shouted, ignoring the pain in her leg. It was burning but she couldn't think about that now. Hazelle grabbed onto Charlotte's free hand, "I'm here" She whispered.

Charlotte's hand wrapped around her own made Hazelle forget about her pain. But the burning came rushing back faster than she could push it away. Every few minutes, when the pain was worse, she'd grip the other girl's hand firmer but not tight enough to hurt her. She refused to show weakness on the outside though, she was okay with letting Charlotte know she was hurting but the Capital had no right to know. "Where?" She croaked, her throat raw from shouting and from the fog. She just hoped the other girl understood the question. Though Hazelle assumed they were heading towards the forest. The Cornucopia probably didn't have any water, which they need terribly.
((Should we stay here for a few more posts or go to the Forest topic?))
This cave is full of thick, wet mist that rolls through it, blocking your warmth and your sight. Your legs will feel as of something is creeping up them...and maybe something is. This creature pictured above also lives here, so bewared if you decide to shelter yourself here. It can smell blood and can smell fear, as well, and it absolutely thrives on that blood and fear. It's not as easy to kill as it may seem to be.
The fog also changes shape. It can shift into shapes, can trick people into thinking something is there when it...may or may not be. It can block everything you can see, and can make you think the monster is nearby even if it isn't.
