Finished it!
I think it's a good, solid base for this series, little slow here and there, but interesting and very good group of main characters!
All so unique and real.
I think it was interesting seeing how Rand was channeling without realized throught the book. Little things happened, that were too convenient to save them or help them out by accident 😏
This is a small thing you see if you know it.

I'm little confused tho...
I thought people said that the dragonreborn is the only man who can wield the magic without getting mad... Why would Rand then get mad from it later on...? 😶

Solid 4 ⭐ book for me 😊

Finally finished it. Gave it 3.5 stars as I felt like the beginning and ending wasn’t very enjoyable. Absolutely loved the middle section though and do love all the characters. Off to go watch some videos that explain the ending now.

Same, I went to youtube to see I got everything I needed 😂

That beginning is, for me, a really god entry to the world Robert Jordan has created. I love the pace that fits perfectly my tastes, not too slow, not too fast.
I can already say I love the character of Perrin, but Nynaeve is making me crazy with her behavior one time she hates everyone and a minute after she’s like the kindest person on the earth…
I don’t know for now what to think about the other characters.

I gave it 5 stars because the story has the perfect pace for me and all through the book I was like “Oh I didn’t see that coming !” “That’s awesome !”

I want to read the rest of the series, FOR SURE !

All I got to say is, by the skin of my teeth I’m still on track! It’s like my 4th time reading this book! So many great scenes, but my favourite is what’s going on with Perrin! Off to round two!

Well, I did it. I finished before the end of January. It was with only 1 minute to spare, but that still counts. I was surprised by just how much I remembered given it's been almost 20 years since I read this. And yet I was still disappointed with just how little Perrin there was.😏 This time, the Lan - Nynaeve stuff didn't come out of nowhere - I actually caught the hints of it.
