Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments Welcome! Have fun!! I giggled when I looked through your list and saw your rating and review of Outlander. I am currently re-reading the series from the beginning and I'm on book 6 (?? I think? they all blur together after a while- its like the book that never ends haha- literally has taken me almost a year to get this far and I keep saying I just need to put them down- but I own them all)

We enjoyed the same scenes from book 1. I'm a nurse by profession, so I think that's why I stick with Claire. I love seeing how she makes medicine work when she travels back in time :-)

That being said, this is NOT a book I recommend to people, because of the graphic content. I tell most people who ask about it to just watch the show ( and THAT is also rough the first season). Once you get past book 3, it just becomes a lot of day to day descriptions of what they are doing/wearing/talking about, and I eye roll HARD every time the word susurrus or sidled comes up in text ( every 50 pages or so...) Why do all the characters feel the need to sidle around? Why do all the trees and rivers "susurrus"? But I am in it and I will not back down LOL. Heavy editing needed.

Good luck with your challenge this year :-)

Thanks, Tracy. Glad you are enjoying the Outlander series. I am not really a "show watcher" but maybe I will check it out sometime.
