What order do you read the books in? Do you choose particular awards to read through first?
I try to read all of the Alex award winners, since they're not my favorite but I should know about them, and I usually read the Quick Picks and the Graphic Novels since I'll have missed at least a few of them throughout the year. Many of the others I'll have read or skimmed or heard about before, so those only come in after I've finished my 25 books.
I like to read them shortest to longest so I feel like I'm going faster than I am :). Graphic novels are my favorite to start with but I guess I'll have to wait for that part of the list to be published.
Rebecca, the GGN list has been published; they just haven't updated the master list on the Hub site yet. Here's a copy you can use, if you'd like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3gm...
I try to read at least one from every list. Then I'll pick a favorite list to try to finish. I should read more of the Alex award winners since I do work the Adult desk a few hours a day. I always start that with good intentions and end up getting bogged down and not reading many of them.
I'd like to start with the Alex award winners. I've put a hold on several of them and will read them as they arrive. I'll fill in the "wait" time between books with whichever challenge books happen to be in at the library. I like that bit of randomness thrown in!
I just read in the order of whatever I can get my hands on. We're a smaller system, so it just works that way. I do try to read something from every category though I often miss the Popular Paperbacks because my library doesn't often buy the titles in paperback when we have hardcover copies available. Reading from the Great Graphic Novels for Teens is always my favorite, but I have already read several of the titles this year and I haven't decided if I want to do a reread or not.
