► UNSOLVED: One specific book > Children's chapter book about two sisters. I think the illustrator did another well known series, possibly Ramona and Beezus? Read about 2010.

Katie | 61 comments The older sister was responsible and the little sister was wild and had a name like ruby or clementine? I probably read it in 2010, elementary level fiction. The cover had the two girls on it. It think there were several in a series

But it was first pubbed in 2013.

It's not Clementine, I have read that one and the character is similar to the one from the book I read but this one is two sisters and I think both have brown hair

It's not that, the cover with both of them on it is similar though

Patti Moore | 1 comments Beverly Cleary also wrote stories about twins, Jimmy and Janet? Sister was wilder than brother.

Ann | 166 comments They aren't sisters but Ivy and Bean has that same sort of vibe.

message 10: by Katie (new)

Katie | 61 comments sadly none of these! the two were definitely sisters, one was much younger than the other

message 11: by Rainbowheart (new)

Rainbowheart | 28636 comments Tracy Dockray illustrated the newer editions of the Ramona books, but I don't think she's done a series about sisters.

Daisy (daisyporter) | 1200 comments Louis Darling and then Alan Tiegreen illustrated the earlier Ramona books, if you want to check out their other books.

Rainbowheart | 28636 comments Dory Fantasmagory is probably also too recent.

Judy Moody and Junie B. Jones are similar series, but I don't think they're about sisters.

message 14: by Katie (new)

Katie | 61 comments Judy Moody and Junie b Jones definitely were similar but this one was sisters. sadly I think Dory Fantasmagory is too recent, the art style also looks different

Valerie (veegood) | 248 comments I totally misread the question, I only just realised you said 'illustrator' not 'author'. Sorry, my reply was pointless.

message 17: by Katie (new)

Katie | 61 comments No, sadly not Camden Falls

No, I know the book definitely had the two girls on the front cover. It had an almost cartoon-y art style, and I don't remember any other major characters I think it was just the two of them for the most part.

No, the book I read was newer than this one.

Mai | 1280 comments Probably not this one since it mentions magic but just in case! The little sister's name is Violet:
The Trouble With Violet by Anne Mazer
The Trouble With Violet by Anne Mazer
The first book of the series was published in 2007.

No, the book I read definitely didn't have magic.

Unfortunately this is not it, the art style was different and I don't believe there was a grandmother character or doll hospital.

This should be solvable.
