We have pumpkin spiked lattes and cheese. In fact one cheesy book literally molds. Plus we check in with a non-spoilery discussion of Aurora Rising/The Prefect by Alistair Reynolds.

"Dreyfus scratched at the bulge of neck fat lapping against the back of his collar." - p. 34.

The title sounds literary, like The Pilgrim's Progress:

Iain Bertram (iain_bertram) | 1740 comments Bill Nighy as Pratchett’s voice is just so wrong. Couldn’t they get Michael Sheen: Aziraphale is essentially Pritchett and the voice delivery is closer

Ruth | 1778 comments I love the verbal picture of me as the leader of a plucky band of rebels, going against the tyranny of the official October book pick!

Also, I love the concept of a “300-page novella.” Kind of like a three-course snack, or a forty-mile marathon. That’s Tad Williams for you I guess!

Jan | 774 comments A three-course snack is something that sounds really, really awesome!

Jan | 774 comments Also "rebel read" sounds much cooler than "alt pick"!!

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 2898 comments I think in the past when an alt-pick has been unofficial it was referred to as a "rogue read." So Ruth is the ROGUE leader of a plucky band of rebels, obviously.

Elizabeth Morgan (elzbethmrgn) | 303 comments In the Discord group we have Rebel Reads, but Rogue Read is also good alliteration so I'll allow it.

Mark (markmtz) | 2822 comments What about Renegade Reads?

Tamahome | 7216 comments Iconoclastic ingestions?

Jan | 774 comments What about Rouge Reads?

Fresno Bob | 602 comments I have serious questions Veronica. What was the cheese? Did Ryan eat the cheese? Can you eat other cheese?

I'd be too red faced to show up in that one...
